Chocolate Cornflake Clusters
Difficulty level: Easy
Jump to recipe

I really enjoyed making these treats with my mum when I was little. Chocolate-y and crunchy, they're a perfect snack that takes barely any ingredients or time to make.

Ney's Tip

You can make even smaller clusters by using just 1 tablespoon and can also add other ingredients such as sprinkles, mini marshmallows or fudge pieces.

Ingredients

14 oz. chocolate (room temperature), broken into pieces

6 oz. cornflakes

Method
  1. Place a medium-sized heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water. The bowl must not touch the water.
  2. Melt the chocolate in the bowl stirring occasionally.
  3. Once melted completely and smooth, remove from the heat.
  4. In another large bowl add the cornflakes and then add the melted chocolate. Stir gently together until the cornflakes are completely coated with chocolate.
  5. Line 12 paper muffin cases onto a tray and scoop 2 tablespoonful of the mix into each in case. (If you don’t have paper cases, you can just scoop the mix onto a tray lined with greaseproof/baking paper).
  6. Place the tray in the fridge for 30 minutes or until fully set. Serve and enjoy!
